The Dog Club

Did you know we have a dog club? This clip features our recent get together at The Island in Pigeon Forge. Until this night, these dogs had never been around each other and yet look how great they did!
We had a fun time visiting one another while showing off our dogs’ skills. We do a variety of other events too such as restaurant socials, hiking trips, agility training, picnics, and other such things.

Puppy Mix

Just a few of our happy dogs and happy clients…..it’s what we do. 😊

WATE Living in East Tennessee Segment

Here is our first TV segment on Knoxville’s WATE Living East Tennessee Program. We discussed the Rocky Top K9 company and my dog Kobi, Also, we talked about the topic of asking for references of past clients and doing your research on a dog trainer’s history, safety record, and past performances.

We Can Train for Your Needs

Here we are working with Brady and his best friend Diesel. Today was the come, sit, and stay. Stay tuned for more adventures between these two and more dog training videos.

Real World Training

At Rocky Top K9, we are firm believers of the ‘train as you fight” mentality. Meaning if you are training, then you need to do it with as much distraction as possible. This leaves the dog with no doubt about the commands. In the beginning, Little Harley had fear, aggression, and avoidance. Now, this dog is strong and confident.

Dog Training Videos of Overcoming Fear

Positive reinforcement is a great way to teach your dogs to overcome fears. In this case, 7-month-old Meeko learned to overcome her fears of ground textures while learning trust at the same time.

Mary Demonstrating No Food Aggression

Remember Mary who had dog aggression along with food aggression? When your dog understands its place in your pack, you as the leader enforce those rules. Afterwards,  harmony will be the result. Remember, all the love in the world will never make a dog obedient.
